| Two cars are travelling towards each other with speeds of 45 km/hr and 63 km/hr respectively. What is the distance (in kilometers) between the two cars, ten seconds before they collide?

Right Answer is: C

SOLUTION

Distance travelled by them in 10 sec
[Since the cars are travelling towards each other the relative speed (s1 + s2). ]
so, the distance covered by both cars in 10 sec
                                                                    = (45+63)× (10/3600) Km
                                                                           here, [1 km/hr = (1/3600) km/sec]
                                                                    = 0.3 Km
Note: This is the sum of distance travelled by them in the last 10 seconds.
Formula: Speed x Time = Distance
